Mother’s Day Tribute to My Mom

Today, on Mother’s Day, I remember and celebrate the incredible woman who gave me life—my mom. Though she left this world in 2021, her love, strength, and spirit remain deeply rooted in my heart.

My mom was grace and resilience woven together. She faced her battle with lung cancer with courage that still leaves me in awe. Even in her hardest days, her love never wavered. She carried everyone around her with light—just like the sunflowers she adored.

Sunflowers were her favorite. Always turning toward the sun, always standing tall even after the storms—just like her. I see them now and think of her warmth, her laughter, her wisdom, and how fiercely she loved.

I miss her every day. But today, especially, I honour her legacy—the lessons she taught me, the hugs I still feel, and the beauty she brought into the world. She was, and always will be, my sunshine.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. I love you forever.

The first time I heard Ozzy Osbourne, it was “No More Tears” on the radio—and that was it for me. That voice, that intensity... I was hooked. I went straight to the record shop and picked up a Black Sabbath album. Then another. Sometimes just one CD at a time, sometimes two—until I had every single one by 2001.
